Start video chat in your browser
You do not need to find an app-store listing or install an APK to use Thundrchat. The matching and video experience runs on the website. You can start without signing up first, then follow the requirements shown for any later account or payment action.
Thundrchat matches you with women by default. Every female chat partner completes real-person verification before video calls; verification is optional for new male users. There is no gender selector to configure. The one-on-one video chat guide explains what happens between meeting someone new and starting a conversation.
- Open the matching page. Use Start video chat in your browser. Keep the tab open while you get ready.
- Prepare your camera and microphone. Read the browser permission prompts and allow access when you are ready to appear and speak.
- Check the offer and call cost. New users receive a welcome matching allowance. Video calls are charged separately; a match does not include a free call.
- Start a conversation. Find a comfortable position, keep sensitive information outside the camera frame and say hello.
On your phone or your computer
Use the website on an Android phone, an iPhone or a desktop computer. On iPhone, open it in Safari; on Android or desktop, use a current browser with camera and microphone support. You do not need a separate Thundrchat app for video calls.
If you opened a link inside another app and camera access does not appear, try opening the same address directly in your regular browser. The permission controls and available devices can differ between browsers and operating systems.
A phone is convenient when you want to move somewhere quieter. A computer can give you more room to position the camera and read the controls. Whichever you choose, use a stable connection and check that the lens is not covered. No-download access removes installation, not the need for working audio, video and an internet connection.
If your camera or microphone will not connect
Start with permissions rather than downloading unfamiliar software. In Chrome, camera and microphone access can be changed in the site's permissions. Your computer's own privacy settings may also need to allow the browser to use those devices. See Google's camera and microphone instructions for the current steps.
- Permission was blocked: review the browser's site settings, allow the device you want to use, and reload the page.
- The wrong device is selected: check whether your browser is using the intended webcam, headset or microphone.
- The picture or sound is still missing: close other applications using the device, then try the browser again.
If it still does not work, visit the help center. Do not grant remote-control access or send account credentials to someone claiming an off-site download is necessary.
A few details before you connect
You can keep profile information out of view, but a hidden profile does not mean the website collects no data or that the other person cannot record their screen. The video chat privacy guide covers sensible preparation and the limits of verification.
Independent text chat is also available if you prefer a message at another point in the conversation. You remain free to leave an uncomfortable interaction, report a problem or block someone. Browser access is simply the entry point; your comfort still sets the pace.
