Visibility and verification have limits
Profile visibility, verification, and personal safety are different things. Thundrchat lets you hide your profile, but hiding profile information does not make a video call absolutely anonymous. Your face, voice, surroundings, and the details you mention can still identify you to someone you meet.
Women are verified on Thundrchat, while verification for men is optional. This is not a claim that every user has completed the same checks. Verification also cannot guarantee someone's intentions, prevent every unwanted interaction, or replace your own judgment about what to share.
A one-to-one call means you are talking with one person. It should not be read as a promise that nothing can be recorded or shared. Choose what you put on camera with that limitation in mind.
Check your surroundings before a call
A quick look around your space can reveal details you would not deliberately give a stranger. A delivery label on a table, an employer's badge, or a school name on a wall can say more than your display name does. Move identifying items out of the camera's view before starting.
- Use a display name that does not reveal your full name or a personal contact address.
- Keep documents, payment cards, and other people's private information out of view.
- Choose a setting where other people will not appear on camera without their agreement.
- Decide in advance which topics or requests would make you end the conversation.

Keep your boundaries during the conversation
You can be friendly without revealing where you live, your workplace, your daily schedule, or your personal social accounts. For example, “I like exploring new cafes” keeps a conversation going without naming the place you visit every morning. There is no need to answer a question simply because someone asks twice.
Be cautious when someone sends an unfamiliar link, asks for a login code, or says you must complete a separate “verification” step to keep talking. Do not share passwords, one-time codes, or payment details with a person in chat. Pressure to act quickly is a reason to pause, not a reason to comply.
Keep payment decisions separate from personal requests. Video calls on Thundrchat are charged separately from any free welcome matching allowance; check the product's displayed pricing yourself. Leave first, then consider reporting or blocking
You do not have to stay in an uncomfortable call while deciding what to do. End the interaction first. Reporting and blocking serve different purposes: a report communicates a concern for review, while blocking is a control for limiting further contact. Neither should be treated as a guarantee about what another person will do elsewhere.
Use the reporting or blocking options available in the interface. If you submit a report, describe the behavior clearly: for example, repeated requests for a password or pressure to transfer money. Include only the details needed to explain the issue, and avoid spreading another person's private information. Do not assume a report has produced an immediate outcome.
